Shane Carle pitched a scoreless sixth inning, with a hit and a walk allowed. Taylor Clarke pitched the seventh inning and allowed an unearned run with a walk allowed, and struck out two batters. The unearned ran came via an error by shortstop Juniel Querecuto. Baserunner Mauricio Dubon was stealing second, and thanks to the error by Querecuto, ended up on third, eventually scoring on a sacrifice fly. Ty Tice pitched ....

Hillsboro was the only team that was able to pull off the win with some very lopsided scores along the way. Brandon Pfaadt was the only notable pitching prospect that took the mound. Top Pitching Performance: Hillsboro RHP Brandon Pfaadt - 6 IP, 8 H, 3 R (3 ER), 1 BB, 6 K Top Hitting Performance: Hillsboro SS Blaze Alexander - 2 for 3, 2B, BB, RBI, R, SB Reno didn’t put up much of a fight in this one, trailing from beginning to end. Scott Kazmir stymied the Reno lineup for 6 innings, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk. Reno did get a pair of doubles from Andrew Young and Drew Ellis, but the team collectively went 0 for 5 with runners in scoring position. On the pitching side, Humberto Mejia would allow 4 runs in 3 innings. Brandyn Sittinger and West Tunnell would each allow 2 runs in their outing. ....
