Kubernetes 1.20 has finally put in an appearance on Microsoft s Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), just squeaking into March and a good few months since the upstream release.
The release also means the end of life for 1.17, which went to GA in AKS in July 2020 after its upstream release in December 2019.
The support for each version by the Kubernetes community was recently upped from nine to 12 months. As far as Microsoft is concerned, AKS supports the latest GA minor version along with two previous latest minor versions.
You should upgrade. as soon as you re able, to ensure your cluster is fully patched and supported, the company said. ....

Mantel Group adds three new speciality consulting brands

Technology consultancy Mantel Group is launching three new brands, Pretzel Lab, Azenix and Cuusoo, growing its team by almost one third and nearly doubling its existing portfolio of companies.
Launching this month under chief executive Jane Nguyen, Pretzel Lab is branching from Mantel’s existing digital transformation company, DigIO.
Pretzel Lab applies design thinking models and uses big tech to solve a range of business problems. They will be hiring 15-20 people this year to support the current team of seven.
“Having incubated and worked inside of DigIO, the understanding of Mantel Group s principles and the culture it drives makes the launch of Pretzel Lab an exciting journey to embark upon. It is that culture and the amazing team that has set us up for great success,” Nguyen said. ....

Microsoft fixed an issue on Tuesday morning that had caused a temporary outage affecting multiple Microsoft 365 services worldwide.
According to the Microsoft 365 Service health status page, any service that leverages Azure Active Directory (AAD) may have been affected by the outage.
Users were unable to access multiple Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365 services.
Downdetector, a website that tracks internet outage, saw reports from users having trouble with services such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Xbox Live, and Microsoft Office 365. ....
