Firefighters in cedar rapids are trying to figure out what caused a mobile home fire. One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital. The fire was at 3701 16th avenue sw. 72 year old Ronald Jacobs died at the scene. Responders took his wife, 72 year old karen jacobs, to Mercy Medical center before transferring her to another hospital. Smoke and flames had filled the mobile home when firereghters arrived just after 7 30 am yesterday morning. But the fire never got large enough to threaten any nearby mobile homes.
