Close to 45 degrees by 9 00 a. M. I think we top out in the low 50s today. Very close to an average temperature. Clouds are going to thicken in the foothills early today. Crash noise. Reporter chapman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was not arrested, but issued a court order. He went through surgery last night and had another surgery earlier today. The sheriff says the deputy has been a Police Officer in colorado for 21 years. He describes him as an exceptional deputy and said he was wellliked by peers. Two men tried to rob the deputy on tuesday night. He was shot several times and fired back hitting the 16year old who was later arrested. The sheriff commended the Aurora Police department for their response and for taking good care of the deputy. The sheriff was in a staff meeting when he got the news last night. Im just reading the reaction of the staff as i yesterday. It was somber. We were thrilled to hear his prognosis and his outcome and to know that he is a fighter too, that also helps.
