BARDSTOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) â Former Kentucky unemployment insurance director Muncie McNamara was found dead Sunday in Bardstown. He was 39.
According to his obituary, McNamara died after a battle with chronic depression.
We are running this as a death investigation, Bardstown Police Chief Kim Kraezig told WDRB. There is no suspect, it s believed to be self inflicted.
McNamara served as Kentucky s unemployment insurance director for roughly four months before being fired. Back in July of 2020, Kentucky Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman received criticism after it was revealed that McNamara was hired despite having no previous experience with unemployment systems or state government. It was also revealed that McNamara was the husband of one of Coleman s friends, Audrey Haydon. ....

Ballard, Haydon and McKay named nominees for circuit judge

Joe Ballard, Chip McKay and Audrey Haydon, all of Nelson County, are the three names forwarded to Gov. Andy Beshear by the judicial nominating committee to fill the 10th Judicial Circuit that comprises Hart, LaRue and Nelson counties, according to a press release Thursday afternoon from the Supreme Court of Kentucky.
Ballard and McKay are both prosecutors with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office for the 10th Judicial Circuit. They both graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
Haydon is a lawyer in a private practice at Haydon Law and has practiced law for more than 10 years. She also serves as the Bardstown city attorney. She graduated from American University College of Law. ....
