In the last hour weve received a lot of new information about this, that this all started with a report of a man with a rifle that officers responded with less lethal means to take that suspect into custody. Now, we do have video of what the scene has looked like this afternoon. San Francisco Police telling us that this all started at around 310 this afternoon, when they say they received word of a man with a rifle here in the bayview neighborhood. Officers arrived on scene, and officers at this point arent offering a lot of details about exactly what happened with that initial interaction between that man who was reported to have had a rifle, and officers who first responded on scene. Good afternoon, im james torres. Its the friday kicking off memorial day weekend, and we already have some trouble in traffic. Behind me here is a caltrans camera that shows a big rig that caught fire over here on the right right hand side of this screen, there was a fire truck that was blocking some of those lanes. This is the westbound side of the bay bridge headed toward yerba buena island. If youre headed to San Francisco, three lanes of traffic are still moving at this point, but all of that behind it is moving pretty slow. Well take you live now at the bay bridge midway span, where you can see traffic is backed up quite a bit. Youd have to really get into the screen there because there is just a little bit of fogginess hanging out on top of the bay bridge. Anywhere if youre north or east or inland youre like, man, this is unseasonably cool for us, no doubt about it. Some of the lows this morning sebastopol, sonoma, 42 windsor, menlo park, fairfax, clayton, los altos and tiburon all between 43, 45 and 46. Cool cool degrees here. Lots of low clouds in place. They continue to ramp up 40s and 50s on the temps, and there is a no doubt about it breeze in place for many. So a windy and cooler friday 50 6070 temps well below average here across the board, which translates into 60s and 70s low 70s inland.
