STRUTHERS One challenger is facing three incumbents for at-Large council positions in Struthers.
Tom Lallo, 71, is vying a spot on Struthers City Council with Dallas Bigley, Megan Pingley and James Baluck all seeking re-election.
“It’s my time now to try,” he said.
The retired service manager from Harley Davidson in Sharon, Pa. is looking for a new way to serve the city, he said.
A firefighter for more than 40 years, he is no longer able to go on calls but still helps out by answering phones for the department or loading hoses, he said.
His platform includes working on construction of a new fire station that will be located on Elm Street, working with Astro Shapes which was founded in Struthers in 1971, and being involved in the dam removal process in the Mahoning River.
