With 61 of 67 Mahoning County precincts counted, Struthers voters decisively made their choice for council at-large.
Unofficial results show for the Democratic primary show:
Struthers council at large (3 to elect) Megan Pingley, 27.8 percent
STRUTHERS The three Struthers at-Large council incumbents have secured their seats after being challenged by a former firefighter.
According to unofficial results in Tuesday night’s primary election, James Baluck, Dallas Bigley and Megan Pingley were favored by voters over challenger Tom Lallo.
They are unopposed in the fall.
Baluck after 9:10 p.m. had received 325 votes, with Bigley receiving 474, and Pingley with 398. Lallo had 236 votes.
All four are Democrats.
“I want to thank everybody. I tried and it wasn’t my time,” he said.
His focus would have included building a new fire station and working on revitalization in conjunction with the dam extraction on the Mahoning River.

STRUTHERS One challenger is facing three incumbents for at-Large council positions in Struthers.
Tom Lallo, 71, is vying a spot on Struthers City Council with Dallas Bigley, Megan Pingley and James Baluck all seeking re-election.
“It’s my time now to try,” he said.
The retired service manager from Harley Davidson in Sharon, Pa. is looking for a new way to serve the city, he said.
A firefighter for more than 40 years, he is no longer able to go on calls but still helps out by answering phones for the department or loading hoses, he said.
His platform includes working on construction of a new fire station that will be located on Elm Street, working with Astro Shapes which was founded in Struthers in 1971, and being involved in the dam removal process in the Mahoning River.
