Right to Health Bill passed by Ashok Gehlot says neither government nor private hospitals and clinics can refuse a person seeking emergency treatment, adding that the state government will bear the cost of the treatment provided by the hospital. The doctors however, have asked the government to define the term ‘emergency’ properly.
The new centre at AMTZ will not only focus on reporting of radiologic images from all states of our country but will also set an example that will enable the national healthcare sector to adopt current-generation technologies.

It is heartening to note that the pilot studies conducted in Dr. Mehtas hospital, Chennai and Narayana Health City, Bangaluru, based on the learnings from ISRO, have yielded positive results, the Bengaluru-headquartered space agency said in a statement late on Tuesday.To derive wider benefit from such knowledge-transfer from ISRO and further improve on the way the services are provided at these departments, it is planned to implement the Health-QUEST Quality Upgradation Enabled through Space Technology studies in 11 selected hospitals across the country, it said.
SHRI stated that president of Consortium of Accredited Hospitals Organization (CAHO) Dr Vijay Agarwal and Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), Delhi Dr Shiv Kumar Sarin gave the National Health Award to CMD, SHRI Dr Palin Khundongbam during the Double Helical Health Conclave at India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
