Doctors are begging Australians to wait three weeks before booking a COVID-19 vaccine appointment after the official launch of the federal governmentâs online portal led to clinics around the country being flooded with calls.
Royal Australian College of General Practitioners vice president Dr Bruce Willett, whose 20,000-patient clinic in outer Brisbane is receiving just 80 doses a week, said there would be ongoing issues of supply and demand.
Health Minister Greg Hunt said people should be patient as not everyone could be vaccinated in week one.
