　　【解说】上世纪80年代初，中国各地大兴土木，一把拆迁大刀也正向着2000多年历史的平遥古城砍来。上海同济大学教授阮仪三听闻此事，赴平遥再三恳请暂停拆迁，古城得以保存。　　1994年6月，时任中国文化部文物处处长的罗哲文和全国政协城建组组长郑孝燮等专家提出应争取将平遥古城列入“世界人类文化遗产”。1995年，经中国建设部和中国国家文物局评审，平遥古城列入申报世界文化遗产预备名单，申遗工作开始展开。　　【同期】山西省平遥县原旅游局局长张桂泉　　【解说】在保护古城方面，平遥县先后投资上亿元对古城进行整治、修复。2012年，平遥县启动的古城内传统民居保护修缮工程，首开全国乃至亚太地区遗产保护先河，受到联合国教科文组织、全球文化遗产基金会等国际组织的关注。　　【同期】山西省平遥县原�
