county as with every where a lot of low-lying areas there, underpasses and just parts that, they are braced for possible flooding. we re taking a live look now the wet weather affecting traffic across the bay area. we have pictures here from across the golden gate bridge, the bay bridge, san mateo bridge and the richmond, sandra fell bridge and they are wet tonight and the weather is expected to even get worse. more rain is on the way. our chief meteorologist lawrence karnow joining us now with what we can expect. up. busy. yeah. a lot of rain on the way. in fact, it looks like a real winter. you know something we really haven t experienced over the last few years. we ve been fairly dry. but now things are changing. we ve got showers moving in. we had a little bit of a brief break during the middle of the day. a very wet out there on the roads, very slick. a traveling around the bay area. this really more of a lighter rainfall compared to what we re going to see. we ....

prone to flooding in the past, be mindful of that rising water, potential current temperatures in the 50 s with mid to upper 50 s across the bay area. then a mild morning ahead of what will be another mild. but rainy day tomorrow. the details are still to come. as for roads, we re looking all right out there. definitely no backups at the bay bridge and people taking it slow or as i m glad to see because it is so slick. you see the san mateo bridge, a good amount of traffic making your way across that this morning. you are rolling at the limit at a nice, reasonable speed. richmond center fell very wet. it s a 7 minute drive. and the golden gate bridge about 20 minutes down from novato to the toll plaza. well, ok, so let s continue with our coverage of the rain that s coming down today. slight break tomorrow. but then it will be back for days to come. so there are some areas that are going to be especially prone and keeping their fingers crossed with all that rainfall b ....

right now we re looking at some lighter stuff out there. it s coming down, though, across the bay area. we do have very wet. well, roadways again, especially for the north bay couple of spots on roads. so watch for some localized flooding increase risk of hydroplaning san jose down to fremont some of our wettest conditions currently. now we are seeing heaviest of rainfall settled on into the sierra foothills snow up in our higher elevations of the sierra nevada. overall, spotty showers for the bay area. and that s something that we re going to see today. a lot of spotty showers, heaviest of rain is up in sonoma and napa counties, but it pushes right down into the bay area. resurgence of heavy rain tonight and on into tomorrow morning, the very heaviest of it. this is where that risk of flooding really starts to increase. we have flood advisories go into effect tonight at 10:00pm lasting through tomorrow night across the entire of the bay area. and we are seeing a series ....
