　　近百年来，“西学东渐”是中国学界的热门话题。它有多重要？我认为，没有“西学东渐”就没有现代中国。“西学东渐”给中国送来的不只是“赛先生”“德先生”(即科学、民主)，还有马克思主义。马克思主义的传入，对曾经贫穷落后、苦难深重的中国更加珍贵。当下备受追捧的电视连续剧《觉醒年代》中，就有“西学东渐”的历史再现。从学界而言，对“西学东渐”的研究值得久久为功。
　　历史和现实都证明，文化交流绝非单行道，是有来有往，是来来去去、去去来来，不能只讲“来”，还得讲“去”。这也是我想强调的，“来”众人已耳熟能详。如今，中国学界观察、思考的重点应摆在“去”字上。
