OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Contemporary Board of Trustees has selected Artistic Director Jeremiah Matthew Davis as the newly created role of director, overseeing all departments of the arts center.
Moving into a successful third year at Oklahoma Contemporary’s premier location in downtown Oklahoma City, the arts center has looked inward to replace Executive Director Eddie Walker, who is retiring this spring.

Now that we’ve said goodbye to the inaugural exhibit at Oklahoma Contemporary, and in keeping with the new year, it’s time to look forward to the art center’s next major exhibition in its striking new building.
“Ed Ruscha: OKLA” opens Feb. 11 and represents the first solo exhibition of the Los Angeles artist’s work in his home state and his hometown, a news release noted. Ruscha graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City and lives in Los Angeles now.
