On the Town: Artist explores roots in upcoming exhibit

Now that we’ve said goodbye to the inaugural exhibit at Oklahoma Contemporary, and in keeping with the new year, it’s time to look forward to the art center’s next major exhibition in its striking new building.
“Ed Ruscha: OKLA” opens Feb. 11 and represents the first solo exhibition of the Los Angeles artist’s work in his home state and his hometown, a news release noted. Ruscha graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City and lives in Los Angeles now.
