Tiny house, big impact: Arnette House s new project will help Marion County veterans

Tiny house, big impact: Arnette House s new project will help Marion County veterans Andy Fillmore The Arnette House Tiny House has a small footprint but will make a big impact. The 230-square-foot, fully outfitted and air conditioned tiny house is the most recent product of a youth vocational technical program at the emergency youth shelter, which offers counseling services and foster care group homes in Marion and nearby counties.  Arnette House recently donated the tiny house for use in a transitional housing program. Jeffrey Askew, director of the Marion County Veterans Service Office, was contacted by Arnette House to accept the tiny house donation; he, in turn, enlisted several local veterans organizations including the Marion County Veterans Council (MCVC) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Veterans Village in Fort McCoy to handle the donation and set a plan to help homeless or veterans in need of transitional housing.
