Vanessa, this weather is incredible. It is. Christmas 2015 by far the warmest on record. Yesterday we topped out at 72 degrees. That was before noon. Today a high of 66 sets a new record. The normal high for christmas, 40. We were soaring above that number and it was like spring with the high of 66 today. Felt like april 28. The old record of 64 degrees is set back in 1982. Whats happening out there right now, its 62 in the city, 54 monticello, 57 hamptons. As we look at the vortex satellite and radar picture, note we do have wet weather moving through. This will continue to be the trend overnight as the boundary will bring up unsettled weather for us. So this is the pattern for overnight. Well bottom out at 48 degrees through. Were ready. Good morning. Im dave clark. Lets talk about weather and traffic. Steve paulson has things to tell you. There is a lot of cloud cover. Some of it is low clouds coming in west to east. High clouds coming off the sierra where theyve had rain. It will give us a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy day. There are breaks in the low clouds. But temperatures cool to mild. Not too bad. Not cold. But there is a little he breeze behind that. The cloud cover, you can see some of that. The rain off the sierra. We have cloud from the sierra going east to west at higher elevations. Then going from west to east, the low clouds. These two come together and you can see the thundershower activity, the rain kind of calms down in the morning. But it picks up later in the afternoon. That will be widespread through the sierra, also Northern California. Could be a few isolated showers. The low is rotating around. 50s on the temps. Warmer ocea ....

You do not want to get stuck, look at the pictures from two weekends ago they shut it down of the backup was miserable all around the bay area with people trying to find their way around this closure. We had a news crew working that weekend that said it took two hours and 15 minutes to get from san mateo to oakland. A miserable time in this area. A good area to avoid.
