AG s Office responds to Phillips payment claims

The Office of the Attorney General has responded to claim made by attorney Michael Phillips who has yet to be paid for his work done on two cases before the Supreme Court of the United States.
Attorney Michael Phillips of Phillips and Bordallo made it known earlier this week he has still not received payment for two cases he worked on for the Government of Guam before the Supreme Court of the United States.
The cases were 
Guam, et al vs. Arnold Davis and 
USA v. Government of Guam; Chamorro Land Trust Commission; and Administrative Director of the Chamorros Land Trust Commission, District Court of Guam. The billings for the two cases were $21,548.75 and $78,030.00, respectively. ....

Phillips waits to be paid for work for GovGuam

In the case 
Guam, et al. vs. Arnold Davis, Phillips says the governor of Guam retained his firm Phillips and Bordallo, which agreed to a flat fee of $25,000 to represent the government. Phillips subsequently reduced the billing to $21,548.75.
Phillips added that both the Governor s Office and the Office of the Attorney General were aware of the work he had done on the case, but his firm remains unpaid as of filing the claim.
Phillips provided letters and emails from Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero and Attorney General Leevin Camacho thanking Phillips for his work done as special counsel to represent Guam in its Petition for Writ of Certiorari in ....
