So she had him baptized and dropped him off at the north dakota Childrens Home in fargo, north dakota. Fortunately, when he was about three months old, he was adopted by a wonderful family, chris and jenny hill and their daughter, janice. He grew up in this home in washburn, north dakota, population 912. Clint, growing up in that tiny town in north dakota, did you always want to be a secret service agent, or how did that come about . [laughter] no, not at all. My intention when i went away to college was to become a history teacher and to coach athletics. But the korean war interceded, and i had to go into the military. I went through basic training for the u. S. Army, and they selected me out and sent me to the Army Intelligence center wher
