Every year in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 351 middle school students are chosen among the 351 municipalities to take part in Project 351.
Started in 2011, Project 351 is an independent nonprofit organization that engages eighth-grade ambassadors in a 12-month program of service learning and leadership.
The 2021 ambassador from Winchester is Alessandra Pejrolo. Anne Marie Edenhofner, the district s service learning coordinator, will work with Alessandra on her Project 351 project. 
The Winchester Star recently caught up with Alessandra to discuss her vision as a Project 351 ambassador.
Why did you want to become a Project 351 ambassador?
I wanted to become a Project 351 ambassador because I wanted to help people in my community. At my age, there aren’t many opportunities to serve in a community so it seemed like a wonderful chance. I have always felt a connection toward helping others and I want ....
