Amninder Grewal, who was missing for nearly a month, has been found dead, police say.
Grewal, 31, had been reported last seen in the city s North End on April 15.
Police said his body was recovered from the Red River in the north part of the city on Saturday after being discovered by a passerby.
Police are now waiting for the results of an autopsy to determine whether foul play was involved.
WINNIPEG Winnipeg police said a missing 31-year-old man has been found dead. Officers told CTV News Winnipeg that Amninder Grewal’s body was found in the Red River on May 8 in the north half of Winnipeg. Police said a member of the public alerted them to the discovery of the body. Police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination. Grewal had been missing since last month. His family told CTV News he went to pay his phone bill at Kildonan Place on April 15, and then took a cab from the mall to the North End. They said he hadn’t been seen since.

The WPS Monday morning announced Amninder Grewal, who was missing since mid-April, was found dead.
No further details have been released.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black toque, and a black hoody with BENCH across the chest in white lettering.

On Tuesday, police said Grewal s last confirmed sighting was in the Point Douglas neighbourhood, and they are now asking residents to help with the search.
