Have indicated a need to leave. and at the same time we have american citizens, because the airport is still open, that i think making their own arrangements and using krer commercial aircraft and there is a flow of people moving out of egypt given the uncertainty of the situation. bill: a lot of that information literally changes by the hour and i read egypt air will not fly at nighttime and i don t know if that is true but let s assume that to be the case and it is 5:30 p.m. now there and the curfew is in effect and does that mean all flights are frozen until tomorrow? no, but, it s an important point, bill, the curfew is affecting the ability of people to move from cairo or other locations to the airports. and our current understanding is the airport will be functioning 24/7. so, once people get to the airport and aircraft there we will be flying those people out but this is going to be a process, we have flights today and we ll have flights tomorrow and as we go through the wee ....

Cannot get out quickly enough and want to and are asking for assistance from the u.s. government which is operating charter flights out of cairo, into locations in europe. cyprus and istanbul and athens and from there they will be on their own and have to make bookings for forward travel to the u.s. but in any case will be out of harm s way in egypt. 2400 people have asked for help and two charter planes left so far and, several more will be leaving over the next few days. there are 50,000 americans in cairo, in egypt, more than that, actually, 50,000 are the ones who have registered with the embassy and there are probably many more they don t know about. but so far 2400 asking for help and it s not mandatory evacuation but anybody who wants to leave can ask for assistance, at the embassy there are 380 officials working there and 600 dependents of those workers are going to be flown out over the next few days according to the ....
