Tigers off to their second consecutive 3-0 start

CLEMSON, S.C. – After an explosive second half against the Mercer Bears, the Clemson Women’s Basketball team took home its third win of the season, 90-66. Four Tigers scored in double figures, led by graduate Amari Robinson who recorded 21 points and seven rebounds in Littlejohn Coliseum. With the win, the Tigers have now reached their second consecutive 3-0 start. In the first quarter, Robinson dominated the Tiger offense, scoring nine of the Tigers’ 23 points. MaKayla Elmore was also a strong force for the Tigers, scoring five points and clocking four rebounds early on. She went on to record 11 points and seven rebounds, marking her career high in points scored. Ruby Whitehorn opened up the second quarter by drilling in two layups to widen the lead to 11 points, and remained the leader throughout the quarter, recording six points and three rebounds. CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson women’s basketball team took a double-digit lead seven minutes into the game and never looked back in a 85-55 win over Charleston Southern (0-2) in Littlejohn Coliseum. Five Tigers scored in double-figures, led by graduate Amari Robinson, who paced Clemson (2-0) with 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists.Mackenzie Kramer, a senior transfer from Lehigh, poured in 20 points behind four made three-pointers, and Dayshanette Harris, a grad transfer from Pitt, had ten points and a career-high ten assists to go with five boards. Maddi Cluse added 12 points and eight rebounds, and sophomore Ruby Whitehorn scored 11 in just 15 minutes of action. Second-Half Surge Leads Clemson Past Winthrop for Butler’s 300th Win CLEMSON, S.C. - Amari Robinson scored 22 points, Madi Cluse added 14 points in her Clemson debut, and Ruby Whitehorn scored 13 points as the women’s basketball team used a big second half in a 71-41 win over Winthrop (0-1) to open the 2023-24 season at Littlejohn Coliseum. Head Coach Amanda Butler earned her 300th career victory and 70th leading the Clemson program. Clemson outscored the Eagles 46-20 in the second half, shooting 17-28 (.607) from the floor and scored 15 points off 11 turnovers to pull away.
