The Supreme Court, on Wednesday, upheld its order dated 27th July, 2022 directing for implementation of the enhanced pay scale for judicial officers as per the recommendation of the Second National.
The Supreme Court ordered the implementation of an enhanced pay scale to judicial officers from January 1, 2016 and directed the Central and state governments to pay their arrears.
The court has directed arrears be paid in three installments - 25% in cash in three months, another 25% in another three months, and the remaining 50% by June, 2023.
