And shes here with our first alert forecast, alison . It was so different one year ago. We had all this moisture. But we were a lot colder. Were in the 40s and around 50 degrees. So just rain. There are areas with snow. Well detail that out in a minute. Not around the metro, thats for sure. We have a steady light rain through the metro right now. But pockets of heavier rain off to the west. Winchester is seeing some good down pours. And theres that snow through west virginia. Thats elevation driven. The higher you go, the colder it is, youll see snow there. Everywhere else, some good steady rainfall. You can see 2 to 3 inches of rain for some areas. And that could cause some flooding concerns. Well, today were looking at just some snow showers, there is something on the seven day that i want you to stay tuned for thats worth paying attention to. Lets get through this morning. This morning we did have 2 inches of snow for parts of stafford county, Prince William and prince georges county. This is lighter. But its going to hang around for another two hours. Lets zoom in. We have snow showers just south of hagerstown. These are snow showers mixed with flurries. There are bands of more intense snow showers. But theyre not long lasting. Theyre moving off to the south and east at 20 miles per hour. So this will be through frederick at 12 32. And lovettesville. This will stick around for the mid afternoon. By 2 00, a lot of these snow showers over through the eastern shore. As you head west will stick around not only today but for the next few days with that strong westerly wind.
