ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) has activated the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Salih and Lajid to solve the December 6 shooting incident that resulted in the death of two persons, including a town mayor of Basilan province. Mayor Darussalam Lajid of Al-Barka and Barad Nuruddin, cousin and driver of Akbar Mayor Alih Sali, were killed by four gunmen aboard two motorcycles Monday morning at the seaside in Barangay Baliwasan here.
