In year two of the Next Generation of the Healthcare Workforce project, states and territories sustained their efforts on healthcare workforce planning through individual team goals, regional dialogues, national conversations among project state and territory teams and subject matter experts, peer-to-peer engagement, connections with HRSA regional offices and expansion of their knowledge base related to various topical areas within the healthcare workforce.
The 11th annual Sassy Tortoise and Hare Run drew more runners than expected Saturday, April 8. The race launched about 10 a.m. from Orchard Park in downtown Farmington to the sounds of singer and guit.
Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to mark construction of the Intrepid Spirit Center (ISC) at Fort Carson, Colorado, May 13.
The $13-million facility will serve as Fort Carson’s dedicated center to diagnose and treat traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress in regional active duty service members.
“With so many suffering from TBI, we need to do more,” said David Winters, president, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF). “We want to make treatment more easily available to service members.”
The Fort Carson ISC will be the ninth facility constructed for service members thanks to the IFHF’s continued fundraising efforts.
