They say that a man was allegedly trying to rob the walgreens store here at first and santa clara. Police say a Security Guard then pulled out a gun and shot the man. Witnesses tell me they heard a loud pop and later saw a man on the ground outside. He was treated on scene and taken to a local hospital where police say he has life threatening injuries. Police are saying tonight the Security Guard is cooperating as they continue this investigation into the night. Now west santa clara street is closed right now, no word on when it will reopen.
