Reporter it happened around 8 30 tonight and as you can see, still this area completely blocked off about a dozen patrol cars and officers on scene securing the walgreens as well, trying to talk to witnesses. They say that a man was allegedly trying to rob the walgreens store here at first and santa clara. Police say a Security Guard then pulled out a gun and shot the man. Witnesses tell me they heard a loud pop and later saw a man on the ground outside. He was treated on scene and taken to a local hospital where police say he has life threatening injuries. Police are saying tonight the Security Guard is cooperating as they continue this investigation into the night. Now west santa clara street is closed right now, no word on when it will reopen. When begin tonight with a tragic crash in racine county. A father and daughter are dead after being hit and killed by a drunk driver. Another little girl survived the crash. And this isnt the first time this driver has been caught driving under the influence. Fox 6s ashley sears is live in the newsroom with the latest. It is heartbreakin and old farm road around a 4 45 tonight. Investigators say two vehicles were traveling east on 4 mile road. A sedan with a father and his two daughters stopped to turn onto old farm road and was rear ended by a truck going very fast. Police say the driver of the truck was intoxicated. First responders rushed to the scene. Sadly, the 39yearold father and his and called it in to dispatch. When our officers got there, they tried to render aid to the little girl and the father.
