dry conditions outside as we take a live look at center city. we re off to a cold start, but a warm-up is on the way. good morning, and welcome back to nbc 10 news today. i m rosemary conners. it s just after 6:00 on this sunday. it is still cold, but so much better than yesterday. anywhere from 20, 25 degrees warmer. but right now, we are waking up to some clouds. we will see more clouds than we saw yesterday. a partly cloudy sky, but we are much warmer than this time yesterday. 17 degrees warmer than this time yesterday in philadelphia. 24 degrees warmer in mount pocono. you will definitely feel the difference as you head out this morning. you will definitely feel the difference later on. right now, though, it is cold. 41 in philadelphia. 35 in allentown. right at the freezing mark in lancaster, and 40 in millville. as soon as we go throughout the rest of our sunday, enjoy it. we re looking at a dry day. at least for the daylight hours, and then that will change later on
maybe an inch an hour by some spots. by 6:00 most of us seeing the snow. down to the south, you see the warmer air working in. extreme southern new jersey also delaware central and southern delaware seeing that changeover already. everyone will start the process of changing over. by 11:00, even to the northern suburbs we re seeing the cold rain and we ll be waking up to cold rain. the snow forecast for saturday, 5 to 8 in the poconos 3 to 6 in the lehigh valley berks county montgomery county, parts of chester county. 2 to 4 along the i-95 corridor. as you look to the south and east we re looking at less than an inch. we ll look ahead towards the workweek in just a few minutes. happening now, crews are putting out hot spots from an apartment fire in camden county. nbc 10 is at the emerald ridge apartments on gibbsboro road in lindenwold. the fire broke out in a two-story building of the complex around 2:00 this morning. flames spread to several apartment units. firefighters
resident 47-year-old kurt wagner badly burned on close to half of his body. the guy that was living in the house got blown out the front door. he was rolling on the lawn next door. reporter: authorities say the victim woke up and smelled natural gas. when he turned on a bathroom light switch the place burst into flame. if you do anything a spark can create a serious situation, turning on a light, using a cell phone. reporter: the explosion comes less than a week after a different home blew up. a cracked gas main along the street led to a leak and blast in stafford township on tuesday, injuring 15 people. obviously we could see within the last week gas is not something to play around with. reporter: unlike the stafford explosion, investigators believe the source of the leak in point pleasant beach was likely inside the house. today we watched as detectives dug through debris and closely examined part of a heater. we were wondering what happened to him. reporter
