Ohman had 358 votes compared to incumbent Jim McGill, who had 269. âIâm very humbled and thankful for everyone that came out to vote and Iâm also thankful for my opponent, Jim McGill, and thankful for his service to the community,â Ohman said. Ohman had 123 votes on election day itself, with 191 votes in early voting and 44 absentee votes. McGill had 85 votes on election day, 133 votes in early voting and 51 absentee votes. Mayor Robbie Fox was unopposed, but he received 550 votes. Thirteen write-in votes were recorded for mayor. Alderman Mitch Rader also ran unopposed and had 554 votes. SEVIERVILLE â Candidates are starting to return petitions to seek office in the upcoming municipal elections for Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. To run for office in one of the city elections, candidates have to pick up a petition from the Sevier County Election Commission and then return it with signatures from at least 25 people registered to vote in their city. They have until noon on Feb. 18 to return a completed petition, so it can be reviewed and certified by the election commission. In Sevierville, Joey Ohman has returned a petition to run for Seat B, which is currently held by Alderman Jimmy McGill. McGill has picked up a petition, but had not yet returned one at press time. ....
