A new report has revealed the PL values of the upcoming Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-M mobile processor architecture. While Alder Lake-M comes with rather conservative values maxing at 30W, Alder Lake-P goes well beyond that, reaching up to 115W. Intel’s hybrid processor architecture should be more efficient as it’s based on a smaller node, but PL values will apparently increase slightly. According to Coelcanth’s Dream (via @davidneco25320), there will be three variants of Alder Lake-P CPUs divided by TDP: 15W, 28W, and 45W. The 15W and 28W variants should be Alder Lake-U, which come with 2x (15W) or 4x (28W) big cores and 8 small cores. As for the 45W variant, it likely is Alder Lake-H, packing 6x big cores and 8x small cores. As for the PL values, the 15W variant has a PL2 of 55W and the 28W variant a 64W PL2. Lastly, here’s the 45W variant, sporting a 115W PL2 value. ....

line-up has been leaked. From 5W to 55W TDP, Alder Lake mobile processors will allegedly feature up to 8x small cores, 8x big cores, and iGPUs with up to 96 EUs, allowing them to be used in a range of devices, including laptops and tablets. This particular leak comes from @9550pro. According to their information, the Alder Lake mobile line-up will consist of 19x SKUs split into 3 main “packages”: Alder Lake-M, Alder Lake-P, and Alder Lake-S. Alder Lake-M will be further split into M5, and U9 processors, Alder Lake-P into U15, U28, and H45 processors, while Alder Lake-S will only consist of the H55 processors. ....
Thanks to a new leak, we now know even more about Intel’s upcoming Alder Lake-S series of CPUs. These processors aren’t due out until the second half of 2021, but SiSoftware Sandra has been updated with support for the full stack of Alder Lake CPUs. In addition to this, the Intel Media Driver has just been updated, revealing the integrated GPUs coming with Alder Lake-S processors. Intel’s Alder Lake platform will be divided into three series: Alder Lake-S for desktops, Alder Lake-P for laptops, and Alder Lake-M for lower-powered devices. Featuring a hybrid architecture with big and small cores, each Alder Lake SKU will come with different core configurations depending on the system it is intended for. ....
Mainstream Desktop While we already know that Intel will be launching Rocket Lake-S in Q1 2021 followed by Alder Lake in Q4, it looks like we might get to see a Comet Lake-Refresh as well. The Comet Lake-Refresh will only be for the entry-level Core i3, Pentium, and Celeron SKUs with Intel looking to further make use of the 14nm++ parts under the same 11th gen umbrella as Rocket Lake. It does make business sense as reusing existing CPU families with a slight clock boost can make them attractive for price-conscious customers. Following this, in Q4, we will get to see Alder Lake for mainstream desktop based on the 10 nm Enhanced SuperFin architecture featuring a mix of Golden Cove and Gracemont cores along with Xe Gen12 graphics up to possibly 32 execution units (EUs). ....
