The Lincoln Blue Tiger women’s basketball team fell short of upsetting the ninth-ranked Fort Hays State Tigers, losing 76-65 on Thursday night at Jason Gym. The Blue Tigers used a 6-0 run in the first quarter to take its only lead of the game at 13-11 before the Tigers responded by scoring the final nine points of the first quarter to take a 20-13 lead into the second quarter.
The Lincoln Blue Tigers men’s basketball team will wrap up a stretches of five straight games away from home this afternoon when it takes on the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers. Lincoln (1-15 overall, 0-11 MIAA) and Nebraska-Kearney (7-12, 3-10) will tip at 3 p.m. The game was rescheduled from earlier this season due to COVID-19 protocols.
