The Lincoln Blue Tigers have proven they can win games in a variety of ways this season, but Saturday’s defensive slugfust against the Central Missouri Mules is where they thrive. The Blue Tigers limited the Mules to 32 percent shooting from the field and used a late run to grab a 57-49 victory in MIAA play to complete a season sweep of Central Missouri, Lincoln’s first sweep in the season series since 1986-87.

The basket capped a second-half comeback by the Blue Tigers, who trailed 55-42 with a little less than 12 minutes to play.
