Friday, December 18, 2020 - 8:37 am AKWESASNE The Akwesasne Holiday Helpers received support from several businesses to help Akwesasne families who are struggling for the holidays. Through the generosity of CAA Management, Akwesasne Convenience Store Association, CKON 97.3fm, and Tarbell Management Group; turkeys and gifts cards were provided to help families in need during the holiday season, along with a Christmas stocking for kids. “Christmas is the time of giving and, this year, helping those who are less fortunate is needed now more than ever. It takes collaboration and the kindness of others to help families throughout Akwesasne who are experiencing a hardship. For that, we extend our sincere appreciation to CAA, ACSA, CKON, and TMG for giving back and providing a helping hand to our community’s families,” Akwesasne Holiday Helpers said in a press release. ....

The Akwesasne Holiday Helpers were gifted $17,000 worth of goodies by CAA Management in Akwesasne. The business supplied 300 stockings with toys for little ones and $50 gift cards for adults. Those gift cards will also benefit the local economy as theyâre redeemable at local restaurants and stores. ....
