Varanasi: In view of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, the association of private hospitals and nursing homes of Varanasi has demanded the state government to extend the validity of registration of private medical establishments, which is set to expire on April 30, for a year in order to reduce pressure on the CMO office and facilitate its smooth functioning.
The association’s honorary secretary Dr Ajit Saigal said that the state government had asked all private hospitals, clinics and nursing homes to complete the process of registration at the CMO office in December, 2020 and January, 2021. The private medical establishments completed the process of registration, but the period of validity was only till April 30.
