In south philadelphia, a septa bus hits a mother and her child. We have learned the mother has died while the child is in the hospital. Good evening, im chris may. Im jessica dean. Investigator say the child was trying to help his mother when the police arrived. The accident happened at 15th and washington around 7 30. Investigator say the 29yearold mother her eightyearold son were crossing when her hit by the route 27 bus. That mother was pronounced dead at the scene, the child is now in Good Condition at Childrens Hospital. Police describe how it happened. Trying to make a lefthand turn making a wide lefthand turn to go eastbound on washington avenue. She was running in front of the bus.
