In the last few hours a boeing 787 belonging to Australian Airline qantas has landed after flying non stop from london to sydney. It left heathrow around 6am yesterday flying almost 18,000 kilometres over 19 hours and 19 minutes. Its part of a bigger project looking at ultra long haul flying, made possible by the boeing 787 and rival airbus a350 long rangejets. 0ur correspondent lukejones was one of just a0 passengers and crew on board.
