47abc March 9, 2021 GREENWOOD, Del.- Behind 23 points from freshman Reghan Robinson, the Woodbridge Blue Raiders defeated Delmarva Christian 70-64 to advance to the programs first ever Final Four appearance. The Royals finished their season with a record of 10-5. Both teams came into the Elite Eight off of big time upsets in the round of 16 on Friday. The Blue Raiders taking a rematch with Cape just six days after the Vikings defeated them in the Henlopen championship game. The Royals with the upset of the tournament, edging out No. 2 Conrad 47-45 to advance to tonights matchup with Woodbridge. The Royals came out hot in this one, forcing turnovers and out rebounding the Raiders taking a quick 13-5 lead midway through the first. DCtook the 17-12 lead after the first. In the second quarter the ‘Bridge started to come alive. Four 3’s from Freshman Reghan Robinson in the first half sparked a comeback and a 30-29 Woodbridge lead headed to the break. ....

It’s been a different year for everyone, including the Delmarva Christian Lady Royals. A team that normally only plays within the ESIAC, the Royals have had to schedule opponents from upstate Delaware. DC has played well against their new opponents going 8-3 coming into tonights matchup with Ursuline. Midway through the first, the Raiders took a 7 point lead after a little run to start. The Royals picked it up after a timeout and took a one point lead to end the first quarter. Delmarva Christian turned it on in the second quarter, leading by as many as eight and taking a three point lead at half after a Gabrielle Paolella buzzer beater for Ursuline. ....
