The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has approached the Delhi High Court, seeking the death sentence for Yasin Malik, the Chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and prominent Kashmiri separatist leader.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches at nine locations, weeks after questioning former Jammu and Kashmir governor, Satya Pal Malik.
The CBI has arrested a freelance journalist and a former Navy commander for allegedly collecting sensitive information related to defence matters illegally and passing them on to foreign intelligence agencies, officials said on Wednesday.
