Jailed chairman of the banned JKLF Yasin Malik and six others are facing trial in the killing of four unarmed IAS officers in Kashmir in the year 1990. The prosecution will seek the death penalty for Yasin Malik.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has approached the Delhi High Court, seeking the death sentence for Yasin Malik, the Chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and prominent Kashmiri separatist leader.
The charges were already framed against Yasin Malik and six others on March 16, 2020, in the killing of four IAF personnel on the outskirts of Srinagar on January 25, 1990.
