In Addis Abeba alone more than 23,560 have taken the exam. The Ministry of Science and Higher education (MoSHE) announced that 147,640 students will be expected to join 47 government universities. Media colleagues at the elections reporting workshop launch Addis Abeba, February 9/2021 – On February 8, 2021, the U.S. Embassy in Addis Abeba launched the first of 25 week-long media trainings throughout Ethiopia to train approximately 500-700 journalists across the country to empower and educate journalists on their roles and responsibilities on election coverage. Wakene Addis Abeba, January 29/2021 – A number of Ethiopian news outlets have covered the outrageous incident which occurred last month within the premises of the Addis Abeba University (AAU) involving a graduating class law student with visual impairment, Abraham Duressa, who died by suicide. The purpose of this piece is not to provide thorough details of what transpired on that fateful day of 24 th December 2020. Eyewitness accounts and the relevant authorities have already established some essential facts of the tragic incident.
