Facebook Share An argument over taking out the trash preceded a double homicide in Cumberland County last month, according to testimony at the suspected gunman’s preliminary hearing this week. An East Pennsboro police officer testified Thursday that someone called 911 and summoned police to John Miller’s home in the first block of Greenmont Drive at 6:39 p.m. April 10 on a domestic dispute. Officers arrived at 6:45 p.m. and talked to residents, including Miller, 78, who complained his daughter would not take out the trash and he wanted to kick her out of the house. ....
East Pennsboro Township police locate good Samaritan who stopped to help crash victims Updated 9:29 PM; “She did have crucial information,” Sgt. Adam Shope said. At the time of the crash the woman, who is a nurse, stopped to help, Shope said. Officers were unable to locate her once the crash site became manageable and the good Samaritan had left, he said. Shope said he’d like to thank the public for their help in finding her. The crash happened around 12:08 p.m. between North Enola Road and Susquehanna Avenue.
