Deep Sidhu's accident: Deep Sidhu's brother Surjeet alleged that the truck driver applied breaks suddenly, resulting in the accident that led to the death of the Punjabi actor. An FIR has been filed in connection with the incident.

New Delhi: Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu, accused in the violence at Delhi’s Red Fort on Republic Day, was arrested again on Saturday (April 17) after being granted bail hours ago by a Delhi court.
Sidhu was arrested again by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police in a case filed by the Archaeology Department.
Earlier in the day, special Judge Neelofer Abida Perveen granted bail to Sidhu on a personal bond of Rs 30,000 and two sureties of a like amount. The court further directed the Punjabi actor to deposit his passport with the investigating officer and appear before the police station as well as the court as and when required.

New Delhi [India], April 8 (ANI): Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu, accused in the case of Republic day violence in Delhi, did not call for the protest, and there is no evidence that he mobilised the crowd to Red Fort, said Sidhu s layer during his bail plea hearing in Delhi court on Thursday.
During the bail hearing, Advocate Abhishek Gupta, appearing on behalf of Sidhu, said the call for protest was by farmer leaders, and his client is not a member of any farmers union.

NEW DELHI: Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu on Friday urged the Delhi Court to preserve the CCTV footage of the Red Fort, which is already with the Investigating Agency and visuals, to show that he did not participate in any act of violence and rather he was helping the police in pacifying the crowd on Republic Day in New Delhi.
Appearing for Deep Sidhu, advocate Abhishek Gupta told Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Gajender Singh Nagar that the accused applicant is apprehensive that the CCTV footage of Red Fort from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm will not be considered by the Investigating Agency.
Sidhu, therefore, sought direction from the Court to preserve the CCTV footage, call and made part of the record so that it would help him to prove his innocence.
