Rehab Group have confirmed they are applying to the Department of Social Protection for the Activation Family Support Programme.
If approved, it would allow the 37 workers to retrain and upskill as a group for future employment.
Deputy O Donnell says the workers and their families would welcome such a scheme.

Search By Live95 News Team Rehab Enterprises have committed to seeking a transitional training programme for its 37 former workers in Raheen.
The group confirmed the news to Limerick TD Kieran O’Donnell, saying it will shortly make an application to the Department of Social Protection under the Activation Family Support Programme.
Its workers, who have intellectual disabilities, lost their jobs after the company announced a 30 day consultation period in February due to loss making worsened by the pandemic.
Deputy O’Donnell welcomes the groups commitment for the training programme and explains the key features.
The Limerick TD made specific request for such an application to be made by Rehab after he had sought and received confirmation from the Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphrey’s TD that this training funding stream could be applied for by Rehab Logistics.
