Capitol Police Officer stopped the man when he set off the alarm and asked the man to go through again. The man turned without a word and shot officer chestnut in the head and killed him. The man then shot and wounded another Police Officer, officer douglas mcmillan, who then returned fire and hit the attacker. The attacker then shot and mortally wounded a u. S.
