question for democrats, you know, i see a lot of polls, it is the only age group democrats are carrying on the democratic ballot. that s not an age problem. that s a platform problem. democrats have to recalibrate their platform to win over voters. all right. quite a week. that s all we have for today. thanks for watching. i am contractually obligated not to take a platform on bills versus patriots. if it s sunday, it s meet the press. test. test officials are here to do the
make history in several ways. wes moore, author and veteran is the nominee for democratic governor, and many folks i talked to, including polls and other data suggest he is likely to become the next governor of maryland and would be the first black governor. his running mate would be the first asian american elected in maryland and congressman anthony brown who is running for the state s attorney general would be the first african-american state attorney general in maryland. and, you know, i talked to a lot of democratic strategists who had either worked on the race during the primary or consulting him in different phases just are aware of who wes moore is, of course at the top of the ticket, and lots of folks say not only will he make a great governor but people are already looking ahead to 2028, and saying this guy clearly has a national figure within the party. and one person close to him said me recently, wes moore is the democrat that every other democrat could be. the phrase ri
of our political discourse. remember in august, the threats were public officials and threats to fbi agents because of the politics there. so what more can be done here? like in terms of physically safeguarding political officials? i know there was some questions as to why there wasn t more security at the pelosi home in san francisco. but lts trying to is there any way to sort of police some of the rhetoric? yeah. i think there is a lot of things that could be done. but we never really settle on a few. if you look at the january 6 hearings to now. still to this day, i don t understand what law enforcement is allowed to watch in terms of social media space. we can all see nancy pelosi being demonized and targeted with speech every day. yet we put in no controls. i think a triage system is natural and could be done. hate speech and viral threats, why can t we add protection? the next part is it comes down to leadership and what do we expect in this country? as long as we have politi

went so terribly wrong? there was a crowd surge in the alleyway and around it. we don t know what exactly, you know, caused the crushing situation, if there was some kind of stimulus that created excitement. but i can tell you that that alleyway which is actually quite narrow, can you see on camera here, that alleyway is kind of a key passage way between a main commercial street where people get off the subway and a really popular street of bars and clubs. so there were a lot of people going up and down that alley to go home or to go out. and the crowds were just so crushing, i mean, people told me that their feet were lifted off the ground because they were being pushed so much. and in that situation quickly dissolved into, you know, people being below them, people laying on top of them, screaming and,
