PETALING JAYA: A review of the death sentence on former police officer Sirul Azhar Umar, who was convicted of the murder of Mongolian woman Altantuja Shaaribu in 2006, should be filed by the government through the Attorney General, says Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

PUTRAJAYA: Former policeman Sirul Azhar Umar, who was sentenced to death for the 2006 murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu, has not applied for a review of his death sentence, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
KPL Sirul Azhar Umar and chief inspector Azilah Hadri were both convicted in Malaysia in 2009 for the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu in October 2006.
