GreenSat Innovation Labs Inks MoU With Gramin Vikas Trust and IndiaHub E-Governance to Launch a Smart Farmer Producer Organization Initiative

Share Mumbai: GreenSat Innovation Labs Pvt. Ltd. a leading agritech company signed an MoU with Gramin Vikas Trust (GVT), a rural welfare organization, and IndiaHub e-Governance Pvt. Ltd., an innovation-driven start-up, as a technology partner for their Smart FPO (Farmer Producer Organization) initiative. The Smart FPO model will provide farmers with complete end to end tech-support through the GreenSat Innovations and IndiaHub app right from gathering information, to connecting farmers with financial service providers. The targeted project size for 2021-22 is 100 FPOs with 500 FPOs planned for each successive year. GreenSat aims to on-board 5 lakhs farmers by March 2022. GreenSat Innovation Labs Pvt. The institute has made a refrigerator – Pusa Farm Sun Fridge – which can preserve up to two tons of fruits and vegetables. IRAI Director Dr A K Singh in an interview to IANS said that almost 30-40 per cent of vegetables and fruits and almost 10 per cent of the total agricultural produce go to waste in the country. “If these products are been preserved properly then we will not only be able to increase the production while can also help the farmers in doubling their income,” he said.
