Citizens are in the country. The State Department says its trying to track down as many as possible. Meanwhile, the taliban are showing off the spoils of war. They published photos showing their fighters armed with u. S. Weapons seized from the afghan national army. Its menacing images like these and the talibans long history of brutality that makes many afghans scared to stay in the country. On friday, the pentagon confirmed it had flown 169 americans by helicopter from a hotel near the airport after large crowds blocked access to the gates.
